Senior Accounts & Finance Professional

Position Summary
We are looking for an experienced Accounts & Finance professional with 10+ years of relevant experience to manage and oversee accounting operations, treasury functions, financial controls, statutory compliance, and SAP-based financial processes.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on knowledge of SAP, sound understanding of Finance, Accounting and Treasury, and the ability to independently manage day-to-day financial operations while ensuring accuracy, compliance and effective cash-flow management.

Key Responsibilities
1. Finance & Accounting
Oversee day-to-day accounting and financial transactions.
Ensure accurate and timely posting of accounting entries and maintenance of books of accounts.
Manage General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, bank accounting and reconciliations.
Review monthly and annual closing activities.
Ensure timely preparation of MIS and financial reports.
Monitor provisions, accruals, prepaid expenses and other accounting adjustments.
Support budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
2. Treasury Management
Manage daily cash-flow and liquidity requirements.
Monitor bank balances and fund availability.
Prepare and maintain cash-flow forecasts.
Manage banking transactions, fund transfers and payment processes.
Coordinate with banks for various banking requirements and facilities.
Monitor working capital, collections and payment cycles.
Support management in optimizing cash utilization and banking costs.
Maintain appropriate controls over treasury transactions.
3. SAP – Mandatory
Strong hands-on knowledge of SAP Finance (SAP FI) is mandatory.
Experience in SAP-based accounting, financial postings, reconciliations and reporting.
Good understanding of integration between Finance and other SAP modules such as MM, SD and related business processes.
Ability to troubleshoot accounting/process issues in SAP and coordinate with the IT/SAP team for resolution.
Experience in implementing process improvements and automation within SAP.
4. Statutory & Compliance
Ensure compliance with applicable accounting, taxation and statutory requirements.
Coordinate with internal and external auditors.
Ensure proper documentation and audit trails for financial transactions.
Support statutory audit, internal audit and other financial reviews.
Ensure timely closure of audit observations.
5. Internal Controls & Process Improvement
Establish and monitor financial controls and approval processes.
Identify process gaps and recommend improvements.
Strengthen controls around payments, treasury, accounting and reconciliations.
Drive automation and process standardization wherever possible.
Ensure adherence to company policies and financial procedures.
Key Skills & Competencies
10+ years of experience in Accounts & Finance.
Strong SAP FI knowledge – Mandatory.
Strong understanding of Treasury Management and Cash Flow Management.
Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and financial controls.
Experience in bank reconciliation and working capital management.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good understanding of statutory compliance and audit processes.
Strong Excel and MIS reporting skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Strong communication and coordination skills.
Educational Qualification
CA / CMA / M.Com / MBA Finance or equivalent qualification.
Qualified Chartered Accountant candidates with relevant industry experience will be preferred.
Preferred Experience
Candidates from manufacturing / engineering / infrastructure / large corporate environments with experience managing high-volume financial transactions and SAP-driven finance operations will be preferred.

Candidate Profile
We are looking for a hands-on and process-oriented finance professional who can independently manage Accounts, Finance and Treasury activities, has strong SAP expertise, and can work closely with the CFO, business teams, banks, auditors and management.

Location: Mumbai – Candidates willing to work from Mumbai only.

SAP Finance experience is a mandatory requirement.
